Extensive roof substrate is made from a mixture of high-quality, graded mineral components (zeolite, crushed expanded clay) and peat, and has a pH-adjusted composition.

It contains trace amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. It is used as a growing medium for extensive roof gardens in a layer 3–30 cm thick, for planting and growing plants suitable for extensive roof gardens.

A layer of at least 5–20 cm is most commonly used. We do not recommend establishing a roof garden during periods of prolonged drought—in such cases, watering is necessary, at least initially after planting. As needed, the substrate can be fertilized with essential nutrients and trace elements.
