ISOVER FLORA 50 BAL/PAL 600X1000
ISOVER FLORA 50 BAL/PAL 600X1000
Hydrophilic stone wool is manufactured in a similar way to standard mineral insulation, by fiberizing a molten blend composed of volcanic rocks and recycled materials. The resulting mineral fibers are processed along the production line into final board formats. Unlike hydrophobized insulation products, no hydrophobic oils are added to this type of mineral wool. As a result, the material retains water very effectively, creating a suitable environment for plant growth.
Application
These boards are primarily used in extensive and semi-intensive flat and mono-pitch roof systems as a partial substitute for substrate. They are lightweight and airy, making them suitable not only for greening new buildings but also for renovation projects.
They offer a balanced ratio between water retention and drainage capacity. This ensures effective drainage of excess water while maintaining sufficient rainwater storage during periods without natural irrigation.
